Heather has spent 15+ years in People roles and is currently the Chief People Officer at Gem, where she leads all things People and Talent.

Before joining Gem, she was the CPO at Newfront, where she established and scaled people programs, ultimately leading them through a successful merger that took Newfront from 300 to 700 employees. Prior to her CPO roles, she led the HR Business Partner team at Dropbox and held roles in Recruiting, Compensation, and HR Business Partner at Microsoft.

In addition to her day job, Heather holds a number of angel investments and advisory roles across early-stage startups. She is also a member of several HR industry associations and advisory boards, including Kindred Minds Advisory Board, StartupExperts, and CPOHQ.

Heather holds a BSBA in Human Resource Management and a master’s degree in Human Resources and Labor Relations from Michigan State University.
