Cathy French leads the diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging efforts at Discount Tire, where she is responsible for developing and implementing the company’s Living Our Values strategy. These values provide an inspiring, inclusive, and solid foundation on which to expand the company’s DEIB initiatives and preserve and strengthen Discount Tire’s remarkable culture.

Some of Cathy’s most rewarding and fun work involves collaborating with the Living Our Values Council to inform and advance strategic initiatives, enhancing cultural awareness and learning experiences, expanding strategic community partnerships, and partnering with the company’s Sustainability Group. A high point of her first year at Discount Tire was developing and launching executive DEI conversations. Her legal and consulting background enable her to manage the risks and rewards of DEIB work.

Prior to joining Discount Tire, Cathy served on T-Mobile’s DEI Team where she consulted with business, HR and ERG leaders across the country in the creation, implementation, and refinement of sustainable operations-specific DEI initiatives and leadership development opportunities.
